Hello there

Like some of you I have a phobia too - arachnophobia. I'm terrified of spiders, just seeing one on TV makes me shudder and if I see one in real life I just have to run in the opposite direction! There still isn't enough information about phobias in the public domain though. And I know lots of people have phobias and are trying desperately hard to overcome them, so as a result I have teamed up with a really lovely producer - Mike - and we are interested in hearing your story in your own words and also learn about how your family and friends help you live with your phobia. We have an idea for a documentary series, which will see 12 people with phobias share their experiences, meet with other sufferers and maybe eventually feel confident enough to have a go at facing their demons. The story would be in your words not ours and would be handled in a sensitive manner. We hope to make a documentary that increases social awareness not one that makes people feel like social outcasts. Don't worry if you don't want to get involved I would still appreciate a call to find out your thoughts on this and listen to your experiences. We are very much in the planning stages, so talking to you is crucial and invaluable. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care.
