Trichsters thrive on the support of others, but we can only offer our chat service to children and teenagers with trichotillomania, if we have volunteers to keep it clean. Please help by manning chat as much as you can.

Your child could find comfort in our hypnotherapy CD to help hair and lash pullers.
Or use our paced coaching program to assist with your understanding of the disorder and hopefully help your child stop pulling at the same time.

CHAT

Young trichsters benefit from getting to know others with trichotillomania, finding that we grow up to live functional lives, and particularly that most of us form happy relationships.

Just because your child pulls, doesn't mean his or her children will. Even though Trichotillomania is believed to be a genetic disorder, the probability of a person with trichotillomania having a child with the disorder, is still very small. Sensitivity issues are more likely to be passed on than the pulling behavior.

You can introduce your child to others via this website. We recommend you find a balance between giving them privacy to talk to others, and leaving them alone on the internet, where people can behave badly.

Our chat room is manned and monitored by volunteers and professionals who try to filter out bad behavior. If you have some spare time, please help by spending some time in chat and filtering out people who are not being respectful.

We need volunteers to help protect children online, so if you can volunteer, please speak to one of the regulars in chat.
